For the group exhibition “We, Such Fragile Beings”, I present 36 works under the concept of “Yin and Yang”, exploring duality through paired paintings: tranquil sunrises and tragic news events from the same day. Inspired by the declaration of martial law in South Korea, I incorporated the Taegukgi symbol to reflect the balance between light and darkness, peace and chaos. In collaboration with Podo Museum, we selected 18 impactful events—from war and racism to natural disasters and human error—and paired each with a sunrise painted on that same date.
