MONDE REALE
The Fondation Cartier asked Sho Shibuya to design the exhibition poster for Mondo Reale, alongside his participation in the group exhibition at the Triennale Museum in Milan, Italy.
In developing the concept for the poster, Sho focused on the curatorial theme of Mondo Reale: "multiple visions of the unknown through the lens of art and science." Each artwork in the exhibition engages with the real world in a unique way, reflecting the artist’s perspective and interpretation of the world around them. Each piece exists in dialogue with the real world, shaped by humanity's shared experiences. However, this dialogue is also dynamic and distorted by the artist's personal experiences—and further influenced by the viewer’s individual story. No two encounters with a piece are identical; we all bring ourselves to the experience. The poster captures this idea of reflection and distortion, presenting a blurred line between what is real, what is imagined, and what lies in between.
